SETPOM Standing Committees
The standing committees of SETPOM are:
- Award Committee
- Conference and Ceremonies Committee
- Sponsorship Committee
- Media and Publicity Committee
- Expert Advisory Board
- JETPOM Editorial Board
Basic Rules and Regulations
- Each member of a committee would run a 2 year term
- At the end of each year, all standing committees would send an annual report of its activities to the GWC.
AWARD COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference of Awards Committee
- To determine all categories of award to be given by the society.
- To set the criteria and conditions for each award.
- To evaluate entries submitted for an award.
- To organize, in conjunction with ceremonies committee all award giving events.
- To determine cash/gift prizes for each award
CONFERENCE / CEREMONIES COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference for Conference/Ceremonies Committee
- To organize all events of the society.
- To ensure the successful implementation of all society events.
- To prepare budget for all ceremonies/events by the society.
- To strategize on how to get members to attend events.
- To ensure proper arrangements are made for the successful conduct of ceremonies.
SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference of Sponsorship Committee
- To identify all potential sponsors for the society's programs.
- To determine appropriate level of sponsorship/budget requirement for the sponsors
- To prepare proposals for the society's events.
- To ascertain the appropriateness of program sponsors
- To ensure accountability of spending of funds given by sponsors.
- To develop/outline benefit for sponsors.
- To ensure consistency and fairness in dealing with sponsors.
MEDIA AND PUBLICITY COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference
- To provide adequate publicity for all society events.
- To prepare and release the newsletter of the society.
- To liaise with other committees and handle all public relations matter of the society.
EXPERT ADVISORY BOARD
Terms of Reference
- To liaise with environmental committees of international/national/state legislative bodies.
- To influence relevant environmental policies for the benefit of the environment.
- To provide support and expert advice on relevant environmental issues.
- To participate in public discuss on environmental issues of local/international importance.
JETPOM EDITORIAL BOARD
Terms of Reference
- To ensure the sustained publication of the society journal.
- To enhance journal rating and reputation.
- To determine suitable articles for publication in the journal using a fair peer-review mechanism.
